Deanie Peters

Dean (Deanie) Marie Pyle Peters went missing February 5, 1981 from Forest Hills Central Middle School in Ada, Michigan. She had brown hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a brown ski jacket and a pink sweater. She was 14 years old and 5’3″ tall when she disappeared.

At around 5:00 PM on February 5, 1981 there were several events at Forest Hills Central Middle School including a women’s exercise class, band practice, high school night classes, and a boys wrestling practice. A Donkey basketball game was also scheduled for later in the evening at the neighboring high school. Deanie was with her mother at the middle school to attend her brother’s wrestling event when she went missing. During the event Deanie told her mother she was going to use the rest room and that was the last time her mother would see her. Deanie walked toward the restroom, exited the gymnasium doors and disappeared.

Several theories of her disappearance have been investigated over the years. Investigators have interviewed hundreds of people, explored countless tips, traveled to many states, and searched several possible burial locations. The investigation is currently active and investigators ask anyone with information, or anyone who was at the middle school on the day of Deanie’s disappearance to contact Silent Observer at 616.774.2345 or click on the Submit A Tip button on this website.
