Two Years Later, Family Pleads For Closure

Manuel Salgado was murdered almost two years – another life lost to gun violence. Both Manuel’s family and police are asking the public for help in solving this case. On December 5, 2019, Grand Rapids Police responded to a shooting on the 500 block of Lincoln. When officers arrived, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Manuel received life threatening injuries and died at the scene. The other victim’s injuries were not as serious. The two victims were confronted by two suspects prior to the shooting.
