You Know Who Killed Me Initiative

In an effort to solve some of Grand Rapids’ homicides, Silent Observer will feature murder victims whose cases remain unsolved in their “You Know Who Killed Me” campaign.

Besides removing dangerous criminals from our streets, the goal of this project is to also help victims of crime get answers and see justice being served.

The picture posted,  details the case of Jeffrey Mathews.  Grand Rapids Police believe that Jeffrey was the unintended victim of a shooting that took place on September 8, 2019 on the 1000 block of Clancy NE.  Police believe there are witnesses still out there that have not come forward.  Silent Observer has increased the reward – now up to $3,000 – for information that leads to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for Jeffrey’s murder.

This “You Know Who Killed Me” campaign and the increased reward money has been made possible by a Project Safe Neighborhoods grant from the US Attorney’s Office.

Anyone with information about Jeffrey’s murder or any other violent crime can contact Silent Observer safely and anonymously at 616.774.2345, at silentobserver.org, or can download the silent observer mobile app.
